Are you a Medical Device contract manufacturer or supply goods to medical OEM?
< 1 min reading time

As originally asked by William (Bill) Hulbig.

I’m opening the Medical Device Manufacturers Registry (MDMR) that’s similar to ThomasNet®, but focused. I was a well known medical device subcontractor and Thomas Register’s largest worldwide advertiser. Seeking early adopters now for beat launch.

On a personal note, I apologize for my long absence. Last year was difficult becoming a caretaker for a close family member followed by the recent death of my mother, but I’m back in full force now wishing you a Happy & Prosperous New Year.

Sincerely yours,
Bill Hulbig, Founder/CEO INCAPX®

Bill,

Very interested in your Medical Device Mfg Registry. Juell Machine Company has an unusual niche in the market. We manufacture R&D and prototype and production
spinal implants, surgical tools and knee implants. being a small fish in a big pond it has become become increasingly difficult to both maintain and pursue business. I think this would be a perfect platform for the little guy!

Pounce on ways to make your operations work better.
Your registry description says it’s “open to subcontractors and OEMs”: My business provides web-based tools for managing employing training. These tools equip medical device (and pharmaceutical) manufacturers to manage training records in compliance with key parts of FDA 21 CFR. You could reasonably say my business supplies management tools to medical device OEMs. Would that qualify my business to be a registrant in your new registry? Or would that qualify my business to be a subscriber to your registry; as a way of making contact with registrants?

Director at Innovation Medical
Dear Bill, I work as a consultant and represent several startup companies as well as an ISO13485 certified contract manufacturer specializing in medical devices…all whom are based in Sydney Australia. I would definitely be interested in joining your focus group and learning more about business partnering. Recently I joined hands with a Korean partner and started a new business focusing on linking the Korean market to the global market. Currently we are focusing on Australia (since that is where I am based). We have expanded our networks in Korea significantly over the past 6months and I can definitely see some potential OEMs or companies searching for OEMs. Please keep in touch.

Tom, Can’t make MDM West, but planning for MDM East.

Medical Device Manufacturers Registry should make for an ‘interesting’ exhibitor. One-Stop-Shopping for Products, Services & Capital. I used to be a mainstay at MDM in an earlier life.

Sir,

I am so sorry for your loss (I lost my parents a long time ago and still miss them dearly). May God grant you strength and guide you through your healing process.
On another note, I would like to offer the services of my company: Keylingo Translations and would appreciate if you would allow me to join the registry.

Diether, are you a customer or competitor of MicroGroup?

Kevin, I guess I should have explained this better.

The MDMR Linkedin Group is more more less as you described – for news and networking which is what Linkedin is all about.

It compliments this group, but has it very restricted requirements to become a member. It’s not meant for general discussions which Medical Devices Group is extremely good at thanks to Joe. I guess MDMR functions like a very specialized sub-group of this group.

However, MDMR on INCAPX will be a marketplace where ‘Trusted’ Members post anonymous seeking/offering Listings. These Listings automatically trigger matching alerts and can also be searched in a directories. Determining ‘Trusted’ is new feature that automatically qualifies contacts and connections across the entire Membership.

The marketplace was initially designed for raising, investing and financing capital (SEC Compliant) requiring 100% confidentiality with anonymous introductions much like a dating service. It grew to include commercial RE, M&A and at the last-minute a Products & Services category was added.

Rather than be all things to all people in the last category, we decided to concentrate on robust vertical markets that also have capital needs. Medical device manufacturers fit the description perfectly, I’ve got almost 50 years experience in the industry and my being Thomas Register’s largest worldwide advertiser for 25 years – here we are.

At this time I’m seeking to generate a ‘wish list’ and a few early-adopters for a INCAPX/MDMR March 2013 launch.

Had the pleasure of a 2 hour meeting with Bill yesterday who just happens to live in my hometown and I had never seen or met him before. With the size (small) of this town that’s just simply amazing. I think Bill is on to something here that I haven’t seen or found on any google search. I would recommend that you converse with Bill personally and I am confident that you will find tremendous value in the MDMR!

Hi Folks,

I’ve held meetings with several contract manufacturers, OEMs and VCs.

SUBCONTRACTORS complain that there is no effective medium to connect to OEMs that are seeking a specific product or service.

OEMs complain that there is no effective medium to connect to suppliers offering a specific product or service! They also need a source to review start-ups and small-medium enterprises to fund, distribute or acquire.

Both sides mandated the need to be global.

Decision made –
the MEDICAL DEVICE MANUFACTURERS REGISTRY (MDMR) is a go! Opened today as a private LinkedIn® group only for medical device OEMs, subcontractors, their representatives, press, associations and Joe. No solicitations of any type are allowed (capital, products, services, etc). Please refrain from requesting to join if you do note qualify. Discussions restricted to industry news and member press releases and requests for advice.

The Registry itself will open March 2013 on the International Capital Exchange (INCAPX.com) – format TBD.

Joe Hage works extremely hard to maintain the integrity and quality of this group and I appreciate his help in this endeavor. This is one of the best controlled groups on LinkedIn, invaluable resource.

Bill I am so proud of you for stepping up to the plate, and taking such good care of your parents. I just wish there were more people out there with such big hearts as yours is.

My question for you is? We have designed and have Patent pending status. On the Disposable C-Collar Neck Brace Pads, the fit any brace on the market. However We are in need of direction on how to get our product manufactured and packaged. We need grants or investors.

For Every Product Made, One Less Person Will Suffer. I know this personally I wore a Neck Brace for 11 Months. And all the pads that come with the braces break down after the second washing and lose their shape. Then you have to go back to the Doctors and get a new prescription for a new bace. This is such a waste of Money and Time.

We have developed a better way to protect the skin from Dirt and Wound Secretion and the gross and skinny smell, the person wearing the brace get instance relieve and can go out in Public feeling clean. Can you help us?
