At the bottom right-hand corner of every group’s discussion page is the graphic to the right. You can learn about the group this way. Once there, click on the tab called “Activity.” Divide comments by discussions and you get what I call an “Engagement Ratio.” [caption id=”attachment_1393″ align=”alignright” width=”300″ caption=”Click to enlarge”] You’ll find high engagement ratios only for tightly moderated groups. Otherwise, watch out for spam! Last week, for every Medical Devices Group discussion topic, an average of almost 45 comments were contributed, more than 15x versus the same group, unmoderated in December.
