I’m very impressed with what I’ve seen so far. It seems an excellent place to work. Most attendees are smaller manufacturers and consultants (like me), I suspect, because what we’re offering is a deeply connected, medical device industry network. Maybe we see fewer ‘Medtronics’ because, with thousands of colleagues and relatively abundant resources, those group members may not value a “deeply connected medical device network.” They may feel already have that – without ever leaving their building. Anyhow, I can advertise 10x without speakers, months in advance. Alumni know I’ll (a) find speakers and topics that (b) engage, not bore or self-promote, and, (c) as two-time alumnus Ryan Carpenter told me at the event, know I’ve “vetted attendees in advance.” He means, anyone who “buys in” to the 10x philosophy is already saying, “I’m open to helping everyone else.” So, Ryan concluded, he knew he could just talk with anybody and everybody there.
