In the US, transdermal patches are not considered medical devices, BUT they are medical devices in EU nations. Does anyone in this group have info about bioavailability and cannabinoids or know where I can search for such info?

I have been watching this from a distance for a number of years.

Since I was in graduate school I have been studying cannabis. After Nixon, study was essentially forbidden. So I spent 40 years in various -ologies including neurology. The waste of Alzheimer’s once visited upon a family is a scourge. This has happened to several family members terminating in death. Now retired, I have focused my efforts on learning the cannabis device industry. There are many devices - some for consumption and many more for Agritech.
Medical use requires control over strength and quantified delivery. While Joe has focused on CBD, the THC content of cannabis is the effective drug against Alzheimer’s. Politics separate a baby plant in two parts much like the infant that the Bible describes. The whole plant including the hundreds of chemicals is the baby. CBD and THC are the two parts of the baby. THC and CBD molecules attach to the CB1 and CB2 receptors respectively. Both have health benefits. CBD for body health - pain relief, wound healing among them. THC for brain health. I have gathered a network of several thousand in all aspects of what is a medical frontier just like most medical devices were when I began working in medicine in 1968.
